The Icelandic Red Cross was founded on December 10th 1924. Throughout its history it has enjoyed tremendous public support and has played a pioneering role in many areas of health care, social work and education. The society has steadily grown stronger and is now the premier humanitarian agency in the country. The Akranes branch has, for the past three years, been developing new projects with immigrants, refugees, disabled children and people living in social isolation.

The main aim of the organization is the contribution to the establishment of equality in Europe (first of all national and international) and for reaching this aim we conduct various kinds of activities: youth exchanges, trainings, lectures at schools. We also organize campaigns for the protection of rights in cases of violation of the right.
We have our participants in different European countries (mainly Netherlands, Hungary, Spain, Russia, Armenia)

The aim of our association is to promote, on several grounds, of initiatives, actions and projects in order to stimulate, form and improve the young in areas such as democracy, civic culture,t o defend people’s rights and freedoms, Romanian tradtions on international area, non-formal education for the young, social and professional integration as to have an independent life. Furtherrmore, we promote a healthy life through sport. Our organisation works with young people between 15-30 years old.

MARDI is an NGO run solely by unwaged volunteers, many from minority ethnic backgrounds.
We are based in the North West of Ireland, and work with groups marginalized within our communities, - traveller youth, immigrant youth , and asylum seekers and refugees. We provide support and now advocacy for individual asylum cases, our most recent is a woman whose three year old daughter was placed in the care of the Health Services Executive, and has now been made a ward of the Irish State until the age of l8.

The name Pontus Iuvenate means ’Bridge of the Youth’. The goal of our foundation is to build this invisible bridge for the new generation aiming to build the future together. The Foundation was established by enthusiastic university students firstly in order to integrate the Hungarian youngsters into the international youth life and to give a chance for everybody to enlarge his/her horizon on the cultures, the values and actual problems of the world.

The members of A.C.T.O.R. are young artists, psychologists, pedagogues, students and also high school pupils, who realize how important communication is.
